Senior Security Engineer - Platform Trust & Safety

Location: New York, New York, USA; hybrid workplace

Salary: $192,000–$240,000 USD per year, plus equity, variable compensation, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive the technical roadmap for platform trust, safety, and security objectives in collaboration with product management and engineering teams.
• Mentor 3+ software and security engineers while emphasizing engineering quality, resiliency, and delivery.
• Develop user-facing security controls and UI components that help customers protect their accounts.
• Create metrics and measurements for user interaction with security features and controls.
• Implement front-end and back-end functionality, including risk-scoring algorithms for potentially abusive or risky behavior.
• Contribute to threat detection, security operations, and incident response.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software security engineering experience, particularly with platform and user security features.
• Experience working with product and design teams to deliver front-end features.
• Fluency in one or more modern programming languages, such as Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of abuse techniques in modern SaaS applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for solving complex technical problems with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
