Senior Solution Architect

Location: Hybrid Flex in Durham, United States; at least two days per week in the office. Candidates from outside the local area may be considered in states listed on the job posting, with onsite expectations discussed during the interview process.

Base salary: $118,691–$189,906 annually, plus annual incentive bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop solution architectures, roadmaps, and technical designs aligned with enterprise standards and business objectives.
• Guide complex initiatives in partnership with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and delivery teams.
• Design scalable data architectures supporting data quality, governance, metadata management, analytics, compliance, and business requirements.
• Develop solutions across cloud platforms, data and analytics, integrations, APIs, event-driven architectures, databases, and application development.
• Apply architecture standards, design patterns, governance processes, and security requirements while managing risks, dependencies, performance, scalability, and resilience.
• Provide guidance throughout the SDLC, evaluate emerging technologies, participate in proofs of concept, and mentor engineers in Agile delivery teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree where required, or 7+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with enterprise architecture, solution design, software development methodologies, and SDLC practices.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, mentoring, and change management capabilities.
• Ability to work in a Hybrid Flex arrangement with regular office presence in Durham or an eligible state listed on the posting.

Nice to have

• Experience developing enterprise technology strategies and leading large-scale architecture initiatives.
• Deep expertise in at least two areas including data and analytics, cloud, software development, integration, infrastructure, or security architecture.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms, analytics solutions, and data governance capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, modern integration patterns, APIs, and platform engineering.
• Experience evaluating emerging technologies and delivering AI-enabled business solutions.
