Senior Backend Engineer (Go Booking Integrations)

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must be based in the United States and available during core business hours from 11am to 5pm Eastern Time.

Compensation: $150 per hour as a 1099 independent contractor for a 4–6 month engagement.

What you will do

• Review service and infrastructure templates and create a skeleton Go service following established best practices.
• Set up lightweight, maintainable infrastructure for third-party integration services.
• Build and ship integrations with three third-party booking platforms.
• Connect each booking integration to the general third-party booking integration service.
• Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams to improve APIs and infrastructure templates.
• Create an infrastructure maintenance plan and document the work for handoff.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with recent production experience in Go.
• Production experience building and shipping third-party API integrations, ideally for booking, scheduling, payments, or CRM systems.
• Experience taking a service from initial skeleton to production and handing it off with clear documentation.
• Experience with AWS and infrastructure setup for backend services.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership and handle inconsistent or thinly documented vendor APIs.
• Must be based in the United States, work 11am–5pm ET, and engage as a 1099 independent contractor.
