Senior Paralegal, Liability

Location: Hybrid in St. Paul, Minnesota, United States

Salary: $77,600–$128,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Conduct moderate to complex legal research and prepare legal documents for attorney review.
• Draft and compile motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, privilege logs, affidavits, case summaries, and legal analysis reports.
• Support deposition and trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibits, demonstrative evidence, and trial strategy.
• Conduct investigations, interviews, document analysis, and coordination with multiple parties involved in litigation.
• Manage legal holds, discovery requests, archived materials, underwriting files, certified policies, and billable time records.
• Identify subject matter experts, provide case-related instructions, and collaborate with Claims, Underwriting, Document Management, and attorneys.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-certified program.
• At least 5 years of experience as a paralegal or in a related field.
• Paralegal or litigation experience; insurance-related experience is preferred.
• Advanced legal research, analytical, interpersonal, grammar, and writing skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, PDF software, and online research tools.
• Knowledge of general law office procedures, local court and jurisdiction rules, medical terminology, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
