UX Product Designer (AI)

What you will do

• Design consumer aviation products end to end across iOS, Android, websites, and web apps.
• Create experiences for casual flyers, aviation enthusiasts, and working pilots who need fast, accurate, and trustworthy information.
• Explore product directions, test concepts with users and colleagues, and eliminate weak ideas early.
• Lead design decisions on assigned projects while collaborating with design leadership, product management, and engineering.
• Ship products to the App Store and Google Play and refine them using analytics, experiments, reviews, and user research.
• Raise design quality across the organization through hands-on work and constructive feedback.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of product design experience.
• Proven experience shipping features for consumer mobile applications on the App Store and Google Play.
• Live consumer products in users' hands and a portfolio demonstrating design thinking, not only polished final screens.
• Deep knowledge of native iOS and Android design, including Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design.
• Strong systems thinking across mobile and web, with experience using engagement, retention, and App Store data to guide design decisions.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and independently shaping loosely defined problems.

Nice to have

• Experience as a pilot, student pilot, plane spotter, or aviation enthusiast.
• Experience with real-time data, maps, or location-based consumer applications.
• Experience with onboarding, retention, subscriptions, monetization, social posting, or marketing collateral.
• Experience working with AI/ML teams or designing AI-driven features.
• Experience designing products in regulated, safety-adjacent, or hardware-adjacent domains.
