Sustainable Mobility Specialist

Location: Candidates must reside in New York state, preferably in New York City or the Hudson Valley. Hybrid schedule with approximately 1–2 days per week in the office. Some regional travel and occasional evening or weekend events may be required.

Salary: $67,063–$114,008 annually, based on full-time employment.

What you will do

• Support client initiatives promoting sustainable mobility options, including ridesharing, microtransit, micromobility, transit, and electric vehicles.
• Build relationships with employers, community organizations, and other stakeholders while identifying promotional and partnership opportunities.
• Lead or support stakeholder meetings, community outreach activities, public events, and presentations.
• Analyze transportation data and conduct market research on mobility modes, technologies, policies, and programs.
• Write persuasive content, develop reports and presentations, and contribute to marketing, communications, and business development proposals.
• Provide technical assistance to organizations deploying sustainable mobility programs and strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, planning, business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Experience with community engagement, stakeholder organizations, transportation programs, public relations, presentations, meetings, or program participation initiatives.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including public speaking, with attention to detail.
• Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.
• Must reside in New York state and be able to work a hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience launching or deploying programs that reduce single-occupancy vehicle commuting and vehicle miles traveled.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and digital applications.
• Background or demonstrated interest in transportation and environmental issues.
