Senior Software Engineer (TS/SCI)

Location: Herndon, Virginia, United States; onsite

Salary: $185,000–$220,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable software solutions for mission-critical applications.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, and maintenance.
• Use cloud technologies to extract, transform, analyze, and visualize large geospatial-temporal datasets.
• Develop analytics and derivative data products that turn geospatial data into actionable intelligence.
• Apply modern software practices to troubleshoot problems and deliver maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, clients, and end users while leading small engineering teams.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance are required; willingness to obtain a CI polygraph is expected.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience with a general-purpose programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or Rust.
• At least 3 years of experience leading system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
• Experience analyzing and visualizing large datasets and designing cloud architectures using AWS and C2S.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, modern software development tools, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience developing AI-native products and deploying AI/ML or computer vision models.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or other NoSQL data stores.
• Experience with geospatial trajectory processing, forecasting, analysis, and visualization.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
