Mechanical Engineering Co-Op

Location: United States – Shakopee, Minnesota; hybrid eligible. Must be able to lawfully work in the US with unrestricted US work authorization. No relocation.

Salary: $25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support new product development and resolve technical issues in existing products.
• Develop solutions for mechanical design problems and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Create and modify solid models, create and review part drawings, and participate in design reviews.
• Prototype and test mechanical and electromechanical designs.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and cross-functional product development teams.

Requirements

• Pursuing a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with solid modeling.
• Unrestricted authorization to work lawfully in the United States is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and hands-on mechanical skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in an interactive cross-functional team.

Nice to have

• SolidWorks 3-D solid modeling experience.
• MATLAB and Simulink experience.
• Control system development experience.
• Knowledge of sheet metal, machined-part design, and mechanical or electromechanical products.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
