Senior Software Engineer (Agentic AI Security)

Location: Vancouver, Canada (Hybrid)

Salary: CAD $125,000–$150,000

What you will do

• Build tools that discover and distinguish agentic AI workloads from standard workloads.
• Secure AI agents running on Kubernetes and other hosts through kernel-level controls and gateways.
• Develop traffic interception, policy enforcement, and observability capabilities.
• Take technical concepts from prototypes to production-ready systems.
• Work with eBPF, Go, Python, Cedar, agentgateway, OpenTelemetry, and ClickHouse.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a record of shipping and supporting production code.
• Strong proficiency in one or more of Go, C, C++, Rust, or Python.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containers, including workload deployment, networking, and security.
• Understanding of Linux systems and networking across hosts, virtual machines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to own features end to end and solve open-ended technical problems in a fast-moving product environment.
• Computer science degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Envoy, Istio, Kubernetes Gateway API, or AI Gateway implementations.
• Background in detection, discovery, asset inventory, traffic analysis, workload fingerprinting, or runtime telemetry.
• Experience with eBPF, AI/ML systems, data pipelines, analytics, MCP, A2A, zero-trust networking, or workload identity.
• Open-source contributions in the cloud-native ecosystem.
