Senior Director, Product Management - Defense and Intelligence

Location: Hybrid role requiring work from the San Francisco, CA or Arlington, VA office 3 days per week.

Salary: $228,700–$285,900 USD annual base salary for US locations, with potential discretionary bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Lead the full product lifecycle for the Defense and Intelligence portfolio, including Global Monitoring Service, Marine Domain Awareness platforms, automated change detection feeds, and agentic workflows.
• Define product strategy, market requirements, pricing, packaging, and actionable roadmaps for dual-use defense products.
• Manage, recruit, and mentor a dedicated team of product managers.
• Partner with engineering leadership, UX researchers, account executives, product marketing, executive leadership, and government stakeholders.
• Build tools for geopolitical monitoring, marine security, critical infrastructure protection, and time-sensitive decision-making.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience and 8+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in defense, intelligence, geospatial, or aerospace sectors.
• Track record of scaling end-to-end dual-use or defense software applications from concept to launch.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Defense and Intelligence mission frameworks, workflows, broad area monitoring, and Marine Domain Awareness.
• Experience translating market vision and defense mission requirements into scalable engineering roadmaps with executive engineering leadership.
• Experience working in environments governed by ITAR and EAR regulations.
• Active high-level government security clearance or eligibility to obtain a top-secret clearance upon hire.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating machine learning models, analytics, or agentic workflows into commercial or defense products.
• Professional experience in the intelligence community, military, or a related government agency.
• Experience with secure government environments, air-gapped systems, or sovereign cloud deployments such as AWS GovCloud or C2S.
• Experience with multi-sensor data fusion involving optical satellite imagery and Synthetic Aperture Radar.
