Systems Designer (Industrial Automation)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio, United States. The role includes commissioning solutions at client sites and travel up to 50% throughout North America.

What you will do

• Engineer and implement real-time automation controls and industrial information solutions.
• Contribute to project conceptualization, system design, programming, debugging, and testing.
• Design and integrate PLC/PAC, HMI, SCADA, networking, database, vision, machine safety, servo motion, MES, and ERP solutions.
• Commission new solutions at client sites and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Create engineering notes, proposals, design traceability documentation, and case studies.
• Develop problem-solving methodologies, learn new technologies, and mentor colleagues.

Requirements

• Successful or upcoming completion of a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering Technology program.
• Academic or professional experience with some or all of the listed automation, programming, networking, database, and information solution technologies.
• Analytical, conscientious, focused, self-starting approach with strong learning ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and full-time access to a personal vehicle.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% throughout North America.
