Manufacturing Engineer (Siemens NX)

What you will do

• Develop, prove out, and maintain fully associative Siemens NX CAM programs for 3- to 5-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn operations.
• Create complex drive geometries, toolpaths, probing cycles, and customized lights-out post processors for large propulsion components.
• Validate machining programs with NX CSE and VERICUT, including gouge detection, collision checking, and full machine simulation.
• Manage manufacturing data, revision control, release workflows, and Manufacturing Resource Library structures in Teamcenter.
• Optimize tooling, cutting parameters, feed rates, tool life, cycle times, and machining stability for difficult materials.
• Support machinists, operators, quality, and metrology during prove-outs, inspections, troubleshooting, equipment qualification, and non-conformance resolution.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required, and eligibility for a Department of Defense confidential clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, engineering technology, or a related discipline; alternatively, an associate degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or no degree with 10+ years of progressive experience.
• Proficiency or strong aptitude with Siemens NX CAM and fully associative programming linked to managed CAD data.
• Experience or foundational knowledge of Siemens 840D controls, VERICUT, Teamcenter PLM, and Renishaw or Siemens on-machine probing.
• Ability to interpret GD&T according to ASME Y14.5 and produce clear technical documentation.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds in standard machine-shop conditions; occasional vendor or training travel is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or naval propulsion manufacturing.
• Experience with mature PLM-integrated programming workflows, Teamcenter Rich Client and Active Workspace, or advanced NX customization.
