Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Rolling Meadows (CP2), United States. The role requires domestic and international travel as needed.

What you will do

• Develop manufacturing processes, tooling, production systems, and process documentation for new product launches.
• Own process definition from quoting through production qualification and ensure process capability before SOP.
• Develop PFMEA, control plans, preventive maintenance schedules, tooling specifications, and process qualifications.
• Lead capital equipment projects, including requirements definition, supplier selection, cost justification, and qualification.
• Ensure equipment meets EHS, IATF 16949, APQP, capability, and operational effectiveness requirements.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality, supply chain, EHS teams, suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in power products component design and manufacturing.
• Technical depth in multiple processes such as stamping, bending, extrusion, molding, CNC machining, plating, welding, or automated assembly.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, control plans, and SPC.
• Fluent English is required; Spanish proficiency is strongly preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with friction welding or similar metal joining technologies and large cable assemblies.
• Experience leading large-scale product industrialization or technology transfer initiatives.
• Six Sigma, Shainin, or Lean Manufacturing certification or training.
• Ten years of experience in power products component design and manufacturing.
