Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States; onsite at the Centennial facility

Salary: $75,000–$92,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Own manufacturing process execution, capability, and production readiness for assigned products, components, and manufacturing areas.
• Develop, implement, qualify, and continuously improve processes across additive manufacturing, machining, assembly, inspection, welding, and post-processing.
• Lead NPI transfers, production-readiness activities, low-rate initial production, production ramp, and transition to sustained production.
• Create and maintain process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, work instructions, routings, standard work, and related manufacturing documentation.
• Support engineering and configuration changes, including tooling, programming, inspection requirements, qualification activities, and operator training.
• Improve safety, quality, yield, scrap, rework, cycle time, takt attainment, throughput, process capability, and equipment effectiveness in partnership with Operations and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Master’s degree or at least 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, automotive, defense, propulsion, turbomachinery, additive manufacturing, machining, assembly, or complex mechanical systems.
• Experience developing, implementing, qualifying, and sustaining manufacturing processes in a production environment.
• Proficiency with CAD; Siemens NX and Teamcenter are preferred. Working knowledge of GD&T and inspection methods is required.
• Experience supporting NPI, production transition, sustained production, process improvement, and cross-functional manufacturing programs.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with aerospace propulsion systems, rotating machinery, additive manufacturing, or tight-tolerance machining.
• Experience with APQP, AS9100, IATF 16949, Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System, or Theory of Constraints.
• Experience with takt-time analysis, capacity modeling, OEE, line balancing, constraint management, tooling, automation, or mistake-proofing.
• Experience scaling prototype or low-rate production processes into higher-rate production.
• Experience in a high-growth engineering and manufacturing organization.
