Technician III

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States. Onsite contract role with a duration of 12+ months.

Pay rate: $40–$45.90 per hour.

What you will do

• Set up, tear down, maintain, and manage logistics for test boards and equipment.
• Deploy automated test boards, troubleshoot setup issues, and redeploy configurations for new engineering test procedures.
• Collect lab metrics, track progress, and maintain equipment inventory, calibration, and service routines.
• Configure electro-mechanical assemblies using bills of materials, drawings, and schematics.
• Perform repairs, wiring troubleshooting, assembly modifications, and self-inspections according to manufacturing procedures.
• Respond to customer issues, document problems, coordinate with colleagues, and recommend improvements to technical documentation.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field, or 4+ years of equivalent lab, data center customer service, or field service technician experience.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Ability to solder and rework SMT, through-hole, wire, terminal, and fine-pitch PCBA components.
• Experience with environmental chamber operation and support, plus general test instrumentation hardware and software knowledge.
• Basic understanding of electronics, lab equipment, Unix or Windows, networking, enterprise switches, and routers.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required. Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds of equipment is also required.
