Product Owner (Cyber Range)

Location: Hanover, Maryland, United States. Up to 10% travel required.

What you will do

• Define and communicate the RangeOS product vision, roadmap, release strategy, and backlog priorities.
• Translate operational and stakeholder needs into requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on solution design, technical trade-offs, dependencies, risks, and effort estimates.
• Coordinate with cyber range operators, exercise planners, program leadership, and multi-vendor partners to validate capabilities and workflows.
• Support deployment planning, release readiness, integration, feature validation, user acceptance testing, and integrated system testing across RCS, ECS, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Act as the primary voice of the customer and ensure RangeOS supports individual and collective cyber training objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• DoD Top Secret security clearance and 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• 5+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, or technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, backlog management, analytical decision-making, and communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with full-stack development teams, modern software architectures, cyber ranges, cyber training platforms, or simulation environments.
• Understanding of orchestrated training events, exercise lifecycles, multi-vendor integration, and complex RCS, ECS, cloud, and hybrid deployments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of REST API design, authentication patterns, and distributed systems.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, including Terraform.
• Experience supporting government, DoD, or large-scale training programs.
