Staff Product Manager, Core Primitives

Location: Remote in the United States or Canada

Salary: US Tier 1 $200,000–$262,500; US Tier 2 $180,000–$236,250; US Tier 3 $160,000–$210,000, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own product strategy and roadmap for the Core Primitives charter.
• Translate customer, field, and open-source community signals into platform investments across primitives, abstractions, SDKs, APIs, integrations, and product experiences.
• Partner with engineering and SDK leads to improve core behavior across hirify.global Server, SDKs, APIs, and Cloud.
• Define developer experience goals and success metrics, then validate adoption and iterate with technical users.
• Set product boundaries and success criteria for developers, internal teams, and adjacent product areas.
• Shape positioning, launch narratives, documentation, examples, migration guidance, and adoption support with Developer Relations, Marketing, and field teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, including significant work on platforms, infrastructure, developer tools, or other technical products.
• Experience turning ambiguous technical domains into strategy, roadmaps, success measures, and shipped outcomes.
• Strong technical fluency in distributed systems, workflow or orchestration systems, event-driven architectures, APIs, or SDKs.
• Ability to reason about API semantics, failure modes, state management, reliability, scalability, and cost tradeoffs.
• Experience shipping technical products with engineering, measuring adoption, and iterating based on user feedback.
• Ability to balance open-source developer experience, Cloud adoption, and enterprise production needs.

Nice to have

• Experience with workflow engines, durable execution, job queues, data pipelines, scheduling systems, or event-driven platforms.
• Experience building products across multiple programming languages, SDKs, or platform surfaces.
• Experience with AI agent platforms, tool calling, or durable execution for AI workloads.
• Hands-on engineering experience or meaningful experience building with infrastructure products.
