Test Automation Engineer (Scrum)

Location: Hampshire, United Kingdom; onsite 5 days per week

What you will do

• Design, develop, and execute maintainable automated test scripts for APIs, microservices, and user interfaces.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for regression testing on every build.
• Investigate test failures, document defects with reproduction steps, and verify developer fixes.
• Participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement to define acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
• Support testing of system functionality, performance, security, and resilience.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in software verification and test automation, including automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong proficiency with Selenium, Playwright, Postman, or RestAssured.
• Coding ability in Python, Java, or TypeScript.
• Experience with Agile Scrum teams and Git.
• Technical NVQ Level 3/4, a STEM degree, or equivalent software testing experience.
• ISTQB CTFL or BCS Software Testing certification.

Nice to have

• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Test automation tool accreditation, such as Tricentis Tosca AS1/AS2 or Selenium.
• Familiarity with performance and security testing tools.
