QA Engineer (IC4)

Location: On-site in Norwich, United Kingdom, or Sofia, Bulgaria

Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per year, or the local equivalent in BGN for Sofia

What you will do

• Own end-to-end QA for an assigned tribe or product area, including regression scope, risk assessment, and release readiness.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests across web, mobile, and API environments.
• Design test cases and apply manual, automated, regression, performance, and security testing methodologies.
• Integrate deployment testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate in Agile sprint ceremonies.
• Track QA metrics, improve testing strategies, maintain documentation, and contribute to technical discussions.
• Review technical work, communicate complex topics clearly, and mentor junior QA engineers.

Requirements

• Proven QA engineering experience with an IC4 senior or lead mindset, ownership, and pragmatism.
• Deep experience in test automation across web, mobile, and API platforms.
• Proficiency in Java or JavaScript for automation scripting.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, and API testing tools such as Postman.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins or GitLab CI, Jira, and Confluence.
• Ability to work on-site in the Norwich or Sofia office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, and Appium.
• Experience reviewing code, mentoring engineers, and leading QA improvement initiatives.
