Kaizen Facilitator (Lean Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Plan, organize, and facilitate Kaizen events and team improvement projects from chartering through measured results.
• Coach team members and front-line leaders in Lean tools including 5S, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, SMED, and Kanban.
• Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering leaders to identify and prioritize improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Gather and analyze cycle-time, defect, downtime, and other process data to identify root causes and validate improvements.
• Develop standard work documentation, visual controls, and metric boards to sustain gains and report progress against KPIs.
• Help improve Continuous Improvement methodology, training workshops, event formats, templates, and related materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience facilitating Kaizen events, Lean projects, or continuous improvement activities in manufacturing.
• Hands-on knowledge of 5S, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, SMED, line balancing, and root-cause methods such as A3, 5-Why, and Fishbone.
• Strong facilitation, communication, coaching, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the facility, bend, stoop, use manual dexterity, and lift less than 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• Lean or Six Sigma certification, such as Green Belt.
• Experience training or coaching others in Lean methods.
• Familiarity with visual management or continuous improvement tracking software.
