Salesforce Release Manager

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship required. The role supports Department of Homeland Security agencies and requires the ability to obtain DHS Suitability clearance. No travel.

What you will do

• Develop IT governance and implement best practices for modernizing development efforts.
• Create system architecture and IT governance mock-ups and explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead Salesforce release management, deployments across environments, sandbox management, and platform improvements.
• Coordinate Salesforce administrators handling data loads, sandbox refreshes, and releases with delivery teams.
• Support problem management through root-cause analysis and deployment of resolutions.
• Coordinate with Salesforce architects, application development teams, TSA specialists, and management.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DHS Suitability clearance.
• 5+ years of total experience, including 2+ years in an Agile development environment.
• 5+ years of Salesforce development experience and Salesforce product knowledge.
• Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio, Salesforce Lightning, and the Salesforce development lifecycle.
• Experience with Apex, LWC, Visualforce, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, large datasets, and bulkification.

Nice to have

• Federal consulting or Department of Homeland Security experience.
• Additional Salesforce certifications, including Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer II, or JavaScript Developer I.
• Experience with XML, Flex, .NET, SQL, C++, SOAP-based web services, Microsoft PowerPoint, or Visio.
• Strong customer engagement, business consulting, briefing, and client relationship management skills.
