IT Audit - Senior Associate

Location: London/Osterley, United Kingdom; hybrid working with 2 days in the office per week. Appropriate right to work in the UK is required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Conduct risk-based IT control reviews and assurance activities across data and platform environments, identifying control gaps and reducing risk exposure.
• Assess high-risk areas, document findings and non-compliance, and partner with stakeholders to develop, implement, and track remediation plans.
• Provide assurance guidance to data, project, and operational teams on control design, implementation, effectiveness, governance, and data risk management.
• Work with internal and external auditors by coordinating responses, providing evidence, addressing queries, and driving agreed actions to completion.
• Execute weekly control reviews and the quarterly Control Risk Self-Assessment sign-off process, escalating issues and ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain assurance documentation, perform peer reviews, and improve assurance methodologies, processes, and best practices.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in IT audit, assurance, and the design and testing of IT controls.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks and regulatory requirements, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Senior Accounting Officer regime.
• Ability to identify risks and develop control frameworks and mitigation strategies in complex organisational environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, judgement, influencing, negotiation, and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to improve assurance practices, drive control enhancements, and embed risk management.
• Meticulous organisation, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Proactive continuous-improvement mindset, interest in emerging data assurance practices, regulatory developments, and industry trends, and the ability to monitor improvements and track issues.
• Appropriate right to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• ACA, CISA, or an equivalent controls-focused qualification.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform auditing, data governance, or data analytics.
