Senior Backend Developer (Node.js/AI)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work model.

What you will do

• Design, build, and own the backend services of Leadro, hirify.global's in-house AI-native CRM.
• Develop data models, APIs, and deep third-party integrations across the go-to-market stack.
• Ship LLM-powered features, including agentic workflows, enrichment pipelines, and intelligent automation.
• Set backend technical direction, lead design reviews, and maintain high code quality through rigorous reviews and clean-code practices.
• Mentor engineers and help the team deliver production systems reliably.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development and architecture experience with ownership of production systems.
• Expert-level Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript experience in production backend systems.
• Strong data architecture skills, including complex data modeling, PostgreSQL or MySQL, and BigQuery.
• API design and development experience with REST and GraphQL, including third-party integrations.
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-based workflows or agentic systems.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Docker Compose, automated testing, major cloud providers, and tools such as Confluence and Jira; GCP is the primary platform.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed and event-driven patterns, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, or serverless systems.
• Authentication, authorization, and identity management experience with OAuth, SSO, or RBAC.
• Python experience.
• React, HTML/CSS, or Bootstrap experience.
• Experience with data-heavy SaaS products such as CRM, RevOps, or analytics tooling.
