Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Location: Hybrid in Dubai or Madrid, or remote from the EU. Relocation support is available to Dubai or Madrid.

What you will do

• Build and maintain reliable batch and streaming pipelines connecting applications, events, external sources, and Snowflake.
• Develop real-time data products using Kafka, Schema Registry, and event-driven architectures.
• Orchestrate complex workflows with Airflow and automate pipeline dependencies.
• Build scalable, containerized data services with AWS and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Helmfile, or CloudFormation.
• Implement data quality testing, monitoring, alerting, CI/CD, and automated deployments.
• Design governed data models and optimize pipeline throughput, latency, reliability, and cost.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering with strong pipeline and infrastructure experience.
• Strong Python skills for ETL, orchestration, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow or an equivalent orchestration tool.
• Experience with Kafka, Schema Registry, batch pipelines, AWS services, SQL, and cloud data warehouses; Snowflake is preferred.
• Ability to design scalable data models and collaborate with product, operations, analytics, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work hybrid in Dubai or Madrid, remotely from the EU, or relocate to Dubai or Madrid.
