Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Berlin, Germany, at the hirify.global office on Greifswalder Strasse 212. Workdays start at 8:30, with in-person collaboration.

Base salary: €90K–€140K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Run technical discovery for high-value customer use cases, mapping processes, systems, data flows, and constraints.
• Design and build production-grade agents, workflows, Skills, Apps, and integrations from prototype through company-wide rollout.
• Own advanced, beta-feature, and high-profile proof-of-concept implementations with the Account Owner.
• Convert individual customer solutions into reusable patterns, templates, and platform resources.
• Measure time savings, cost reduction, tool replacement, quality improvement, and time to value, then package the results into ROI stories.
• Support partners with architecture reviews, scoping sessions, and targeted enablement while representing the technical voice of the customer internally.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience building production software, data, or integration systems, ideally in a customer-facing role.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, agents, tool use, retrieval, workflow automation, and selecting suitable models and approaches.
• Practical knowledge of data privacy, security, identity, and integration architecture.
• Ability to scope work, translate business problems into technical designs, and explain technical trade-offs to executives.
• Commercial awareness of customer retention and expansion outcomes.
• Fluent German at C1+ level and fluent English required; on-site presence in Berlin required.

• Experience at an AI-native company or early-stage startup.

• Public projects such as MCP servers, open-source contributions, or shipped AI tooling.
