Associate Staff Consultant (Product Owner)

Location: Shanghai, China. Service region: China. Full-time, onsite role.

What you will do

• Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for hotel business systems.
• Own, refine, and prioritize epics, features, user stories, bugs, and sprint requirements.
• Translate hotel business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and workflow diagrams.
• Lead Scrum ceremonies and coordinate delivery with engineering, UX/UI, QA, DevOps, and third-party vendors.
• Validate user acceptance testing, approve production releases, and coordinate post-launch support.
• Align hotel operations, regional leadership, finance, revenue management, IT, and global teams around product priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager delivering enterprise software, preferably in hospitality, hotels, or travel.
• Experience with hotel business systems such as PMS, POS, CRM, loyalty, back-office, or similar property management platforms.
• Hands-on knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence, and Trello.
• Understanding of system integrations, APIs, cloud platforms including AWS or AliCloud, and enterprise software delivery lifecycles.
• Exceptional English communication skills and fluent Mandarin are required.

Nice to have

• CSPO, CPO, PSPO, or an equivalent Agile certification.
• Experience with Opera Cloud or Oracle EPM/PPM solutions.
• Experience in global, matrixed organizations with remote and cross-regional teams.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, data privacy regulations, and hotel operational workflows.
