Network Security Engineer II

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain network security solutions across enterprise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Engineer next-generation firewalls, network segmentation, secure connectivity, network access control, secure DNS, and traffic inspection.
• Monitor security platforms, investigate threats and anomalies, respond to incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities, implement compensating controls, and support security architecture reviews and compliance requirements.
• Use scripting, automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD integrations to improve security operations.
• Partner with network, cloud, DevOps, and application teams while maintaining security documentation and incident response standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, network security monitoring, log analysis, SIEM integration, and security telemetry.
• Working familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP networking and security, Zero Trust architecture, and scripting with Python, PowerShell, or similar tools.
• Participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation supporting critical incidents.
• Vendor or vendor-neutral security certifications such as PCNSE, CCNP Security, CISSP, GIAC, or CEH, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-native security technologies, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD security integrations, and proof-of-concept evaluations.
