Staff Systems Engineer (Security)

What you will do

• Lead automation initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve reliability, scalability, and security.
• Design, implement, and optimise integrations across business-critical IT and security systems.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code for identity, network, and security tooling, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Support compliance and GRC initiatives through control implementation, audit evidence gathering, and automation.
• Securely configure and monitor AWS infrastructure, collaborating with the Platform team on scalable security initiatives.
• Mentor engineers across InfoSec, IT, and Engineering while maintaining internal documentation and knowledge bases.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in systems engineering, site reliability engineering, security engineering, or software development across IT and security domains.
• Strong knowledge of systems integration, automation, and operational improvement.
• Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, SOC 2, and PCI DSS.
• Cloud security expertise covering identity management, resource configuration, monitoring, and AWS infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code for identity, network, or cloud security systems; Terraform is strongly preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence projects across the business.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerised workloads and cloud-native deployment paradigms on AWS.
• Software engineering, scripting, or programming experience for workflow automation and system integration.
• Familiarity with Okta, Iru, Island, SentinelOne, Google Workspace, Slack, or Cloudflare Zero Trust.
