Internship Network Security Engineer (Spring 2027)

What you will do

• Support ongoing projects within the Network Security team after completing a personalized training program.
• Assist in designing network solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Pre-test network and security solutions in the lab before deployment.
• Learn to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot VLAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, firewalling, VPN connections, and related infrastructure.
• Support NOC engineers with service requests and incidents, while documenting and improving procedures.
• Develop an independent networking or security project aligned with personal interests and studies.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, networking, or cybersecurity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and effective teamwork and communication abilities.
• Comfort with customer contact and collaborative work.
• Very good Dutch and good English are required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Fortinet, Cato Networks, Aruba, Mimecast, or SentinelOne.
• Knowledge of Terraform and Ansible.
• Basic knowledge of routing, switching, NAT, IPSec, BGP, OSPF, and WLAN.
• Relevant networking or security certifications or coursework.
