Area Manager (Baton Rouge, LA)

Location: Hybrid, with regular attendance required at the Territory Office in Baton Rouge, LA; applicants must be able to reliably commute as needed. The role involves approximately 50% travel by car or plane, plus evening and weekend work when necessary.

What you will do

• Drive revenue growth across fundraising channels and achieve financial and budget targets.
• Manage and mentor a team of 2–3 fundraising professionals, setting goals and monitoring performance.
• Plan and execute dinners, galas, golf tournaments, fitness events, and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.
• Cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and high-net-worth individuals through face-to-face engagement, committee development, and strategic solicitation.
• Recruit, train, and manage executive-level volunteer committees while collaborating with national board members and senior executives.
• Manage a personal donor portfolio and campaigns including Dream Home, radiothons, school-based events, multicultural initiatives, and promotions programs.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or event management. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Proven success leading fundraising campaigns and managing donor portfolios.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with committee development, corporate sponsorships, and high-wealth donor engagement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and lead a team effectively.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and data-driven fundraising strategies.
• Driver's license required.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% by car or plane, work evenings and weekends as needed, and reliably commute to the Baton Rouge office.
