Data Analyst (Capital Markets)

Location: Remote in Uruguay, Colombia, or other LATAM countries; locations listed include Montevideo and Rosario.

What you will do

• Translate business stakeholder requirements into data analysis, validation, and reconciliation tasks.
• Analyze legacy and target datasets supporting migration and transformation processes.
• Define and execute procedures to validate migrated data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Document ETL processes, data mappings, and transformation logic, and write complex SQL queries for large datasets.
• Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to align business rules with technical implementation and support adoption of new processes and Agile ways of working.
• Support dashboards, reports, downstream analytics, and data visualization while identifying data issues and proposing solutions.

Requirements

• Experience in capital markets environments, including custody, clearing, settlement, derivatives, or CCP.
• Ability to translate business requirements into structured tasks for technical teams.
• 3+ years of experience working with large data volumes and diverse data formats.
• Strong SQL experience for data analysis and validation.
• Experience in data warehousing, dimensional modeling, reporting, and business intelligence.
• Experience in data schema design, data modeling, and data mappings.
• Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in data migration or system transformation programs.
• Familiarity with AWS Glue.
• Experience with dbt or similar transformation tools.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks.
