VP Autonomy (Robotics)

Location: Paudex, Vaud, Switzerland; hybrid workplace with remote work available up to 2 days per week.

What you will do

• Lead and grow the autonomy engineering team, including hiring, coaching, feedback, accountability, and team development.
• Define and execute the strategic vision for the autonomy stack across SLAM, navigation, mapping, and spatial AI.
• Own delivery, deployment, and maintenance of autonomy capabilities across current and future hardware platforms.
• Drive system-level trade-offs across hardware, sensors, software, cloud platforms, and autonomy.
• Oversee risk management, verification, and validation through simulation, integration, and flight testing.
• Set priorities and allocate resources in line with roadmap and company commitments.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree in Robotics or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in robotics or autonomous systems, including engineering leadership and team management.
• Deep expertise in one or more areas such as SLAM, VIO, path planning, 3D mapping, or AI perception.
• Demonstrated experience deploying autonomy on real hardware products shipped to customers.
• Strong coaching, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Professional fluency in English required; French is a plus.
