Full-Stack Platform Engineer (Identity and Access)

Location: Remote - Americas

What you will do

• Build and improve authentication experiences for customer and partner web applications, including login, permissions, and credential management.
• Develop and maintain authentication, authorization, and Identity Provider services.
• Write Go backend services, gRPC/REST APIs, shared client libraries, and SDKs, with React and TypeScript for authentication-related interfaces.
• Integrate identity providers and modernize legacy authentication patterns across products.
• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and debug identity services in production, including participation in an on-call rotation.
• Own work end to end and collaborate with engineering teams on identity and access integrations, testing, code reviews, and incident investigation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience writing code in strongly typed languages, including at least 1 year with Go.
• Experience building web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with relational databases and a solid understanding of database fundamentals; PostgreSQL is used in the role.
• At least 3 years of experience working on systems at scale.
• Previous startup experience and the ability to work effectively in ambiguous, changing environments.
• Ability to take technical work from requirements through implementation, deployment, and monitoring.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of JWT, OpenID Connect, SAML, Keycloak, authentication systems, or role-based access control.
• Experience with OpenAPI-driven HTTP APIs, Kubernetes, Helm, Java, Kafka, or Redpanda.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Tempo, and PromQL.
