Public Outreach Specialist I (Infrastructure & Capital Projects)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; onsite at client and partner sites. Evening, weekend, or extended-hours work may be required for outreach events and project milestones.

What you will do

• Support stakeholder engagement and communications plans for roadway and enabling infrastructure projects.
• Track and respond to public inquiries, comments, complaints, and information requests, escalating issues when needed.
• Prepare traffic advisories, construction notices, project updates, community notifications, presentations, fact sheets, FAQs, and stakeholder correspondence.
• Maintain stakeholder databases, distribution lists, communication records, outreach logs, and engagement data.
• Coordinate public outreach events, open houses, workshops, community meetings, briefings, and media events.
• Support website updates, social media content, field outreach, project reporting, and communication metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Public Administration, Planning, Political Science, or a related field.
• Ability to work onsite at client and partner locations in Los Angeles, United States.
• Ability to support occasional evening, weekend, or extended-hours outreach activities.

Nice to have

• Relevant certification in communications, public engagement, marketing, or project management.
