Thermo-Mechanical Simulation Engineer (Defense)

What you will do

• Perform thermo-mechanical simulations covering static, dynamic, vibration, shock, fatigue, and related phenomena.
• Model pyrotechnic effects including explosions, pressure, fragmentation, and fluid–structure interaction.
• Define assumptions, models, boundary conditions, and acceptance criteria, then analyze and interpret results.
• Provide design and product improvement recommendations based on simulation findings.
• Correlate numerical results with experimental test data and support test and qualification campaigns.
• Prepare technical documentation and improve simulation methods, tools, traceability, and quality controls.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and dynamics.
• Knowledge of finite element analysis methods and experience with explicit simulation and rapid transient phenomena.
• Knowledge of pyrotechnic and/or ballistic phenomena.
• Proficiency with LS-DYNA, Abaqus, ANSYS, or an equivalent simulation tool.
• Ability to analyze complex results and translate them into technical recommendations.
• Experience with mechanical testing and simulation-to-test correlation, plus a rigorous approach to safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
