Healthcare Tech Manager - Epic Patient Access (Epic)

Location: Hybrid role based in Chicago, United States; travel based on client, enterprise, or project needs is required, with current Healthcare practice travel averaging less than 50% annually.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 annual base salary; estimated total compensation of $156,000–$180,000 including incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Analyze healthcare operational workflows and translate requirements into Epic system design and configuration.
• Lead and support Epic Patient Access implementations, upgrades, optimizations, and transformational initiatives.
• Perform Epic build, testing, validation, troubleshooting, deployment, go-live, stabilization, and ongoing optimization.
• Develop workflow recommendations, documentation, and training materials.
• Collaborate with project teams, clinical and operational stakeholders, and executive leadership.
• Support project planning and issue resolution while mentoring and coaching team members.

Requirements

• Epic Prelude or Epic Cadence certification is required.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Epic Patient Access workflows.
• 5+ years of experience with Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects.
• 5+ years of Epic build and testing experience.
• Strong understanding of healthcare operational workflows, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel based on client and project needs is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Real-Time Eligibility, Payer Platform, or Referrals.
• Prior consulting experience and project leadership or management experience.
• Experience mentoring team members or leading Epic project workstreams.
• Experience with multi-site healthcare organizations.
• Strong client-facing presentation and facilitation skills.
