Senior Corporate Counsel, Global Regulatory & Litigation (Gaming)

Location: San Mateo, CA; San Diego, CA; or Washington D.C., United States. Hybrid with a minimum of two days onsite per week.

Salary: $226,200–$339,200 USD base pay range

What you will do

• Lead responses to government and regulatory requests for information, inquiries, investigations, and related matters across the Americas.
• Assess legal risk, business impact, deadlines, and response requirements, then develop strategies and workplans.
• Coordinate stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Information Security, Product, Engineering, Finance, Public Policy, and Communications.
• Manage litigation and adversarial proceedings, including discovery, arbitration, appeals, settlements, and trial-related work.
• Advise business stakeholders and leadership on regulatory and litigation risks and develop practical mitigation recommendations.
• Oversee outside counsel, budgets, case workstreams, governance, playbooks, and readiness processes.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active state bar membership in good standing.
• At least 10 years of relevant legal experience, including regulatory inquiries, investigations, complex litigation, and government enforcement matters.
• Experience coordinating internal teams and outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong judgment regarding legal risk, escalation, privilege, and the use of external advisers.
• Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, stakeholder-management, organizational, and project-management skills.

Nice to have

• In-house counsel experience in global technology, entertainment, gaming, or another highly regulated business.
• Experience with information security, privacy, consumer protection, competition, product, or platform-related regulatory matters.
