Controller (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid presence required in the San Jose or San Francisco offices for a combined 4 days per week.

Salary: $266,000–$365,000 annual salary for the San Francisco/San Jose area.

What you will do

• Lead accounting operations across the general ledger, revenue recognition, fixed assets, and lease accounting.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities and product lines.
• Modernize accounting systems through automation, AI, and ERP optimization.
• Design and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies to support SOX compliance and scalable reporting.
• Partner with Legal, FP&A, Operations, Supply Chain, Treasury, and executive leadership on accounting matters.
• Manage external auditor relationships and build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and senior leadership in a high-growth technology company.
• Experience operating under or preparing an organization for public-company standards.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, including revenue recognition, fixed assets, leases, and complex commercial arrangements.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Proven ability to build and scale accounting teams in fast-moving environments.
• CPA certification required; strong executive communication skills and the ability to explain complex accounting topics clearly.

• Experience in AI infrastructure, cloud computing, hardware, or other capital-intensive environments.
• Experience with multi-entity and international operations.
• NetSuite implementation or post-implementation optimization experience.
• Experience partnering with Treasury and Capital Markets functions.
