Marketplace Accounts Receivable Lead

Location: Atlanta, Georgia; hybrid schedule with in-office work on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. U.S.-based candidates must reside in one of the approved states: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, New York, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead marketplace accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and payment discrepancy resolution.
• Monitor outstanding balances, reduce delinquency and DSO, and improve cash flow through effective AR strategies.
• Develop customer creditworthiness processes to limit bad debt and analyze AR aging reports and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Customer Support, vendors, merchant processors, and the Product team to resolve billing and chargeback disputes.
• Support month-end and year-end close with accurate AR reporting and use financial software and ERP systems to streamline operations.
• Train and mentor junior AR staff while promoting accountability and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit and collections, or a related financial role, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of marketplace AR processes, invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
• Experience with financial systems, ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and build effective vendor relationships.
