Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

Location: San Francisco, CA, US; employees are expected to work from an office 4 days per week.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate reliable cloud infrastructure across compute, databases, networking, deployment systems, and observability.
• Plan technical work, participate in design reviews, and contribute to thoughtful, high-impact engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product engineers to provide infrastructure primitives that help them deliver safely and efficiently.
• Strengthen cloud security with Security and Compliance teams and improve infrastructure cost efficiency with Finance.
• Participate in the team’s 24/7 on-call rotation and turn operational lessons into lasting improvements.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of software and/or infrastructure engineering experience, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with some of: Kubernetes, Terraform or infrastructure as code, CI/CD, networking, relational databases, observability, reliability, or cloud security.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider is required; GCP experience is helpful but not required.
• Interest in building appropriately scoped tooling for the company’s stage, including supporting AI infrastructure and agentic products.
• Interest in building enabling systems that help other engineers deliver excellent customer outcomes.
• Must be willing to work from an office 4 days per week.
