Software Engineer III (Java/SQL Backend)

Location: Hybrid in Allen, Texas, United States; onsite at the Allen office one day per week

What you will do

• Design and prototype technical solutions for new products and enhancements.
• Develop, test, debug, and release Java applications based on business requirements and engineering standards.
• Perform system analysis, programming, bug verification, and production issue resolution.
• Provide engineering support throughout the application lifecycle, from code delivery through retirement.
• Plan and execute unit and integration testing for software reliability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with QA and cross-functional teams on delivery, standards, estimates, and project timelines.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a STEM field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Familiarity with SQL and SQL queries.
• Ability to work onsite at the Allen, Texas office one day per week.
• Immigration sponsorship and support are not available now or in the future, including H-1B and PERM support.

• Experience with software development methodologies and financial services domain knowledge.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Experience working on moderately complex, multi-project initiatives with minimal assistance.
• Ability to estimate effort and cost, manage priorities, and adapt to changing requirements.
