Mortgage Loan Officer - Northern Colorado (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role in Northern Colorado, Boulder, Weld, and Larimer Counties, Colorado, United States

Salary: $66,000 annual base salary plus monthly incentives and a 3% annual target bonus

What you will do

• Build relationships with members, potential members, external realtors, and business partners.
• Respond to mortgage inquiries, take applications, and follow up with applicants.
• Collect and analyze financial information, assets, income, appraisal fees, and Desktop Underwriter data.
• Evaluate mortgage products and competing lender offers to identify suitable financing options.
• Participate in events, seminars, education activities, committees, and continuing education.
• Refer members to other departments and follow Bank Secrecy Act policies and regulations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of mortgage industry origination or mortgage sales experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Detailed knowledge of FNMA, CHFA, FHA, and VA products and underwriting requirements.
• Knowledge of nonprofit down-payment assistance programs and Desktop Underwriter.
• Experience with PCs, Excel, database software, and web tools, plus strong sales, networking, and communication skills.
• Active NMLS registration in good standing and a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record are required.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of mortgage experience, including at least two years in mortgage sales origination.
