TL;DR
Application Consultant (Application Modernization/Cloud Integration): Advising customers on application development, migration, modernization, and packaged solution selection with an accent on business analysis, application architecture, and enterprise cloud integration. Focus on translating stakeholder needs into functional and nonfunctional specifications, designing implementation plans, and solving compatibility, data conversion, and modernization challenges.
Location: Mexico City, Mexico; partially remote

What you will do
- Advise customers on application development, deployment, migration, and modernization strategies.
- Assess business needs and document use cases, requirements, process flows, and functional and nonfunctional specifications.
- Help customers select and customize packaged applications and guide application modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, project managers, vendors, and cross-functional technical specialists.
- Plan application design and implementation while managing time, cost, quality, compatibility, data conversion, and training considerations.
- Support customers in evaluating application options and aligning technology decisions with business outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in application development and deployment.
- 5+ years of experience in application migration and modernization.
- 5+ years of experience with application architecture, middleware, and data.
- Knowledge of BI, database principles, programming fundamentals, SQL, hardware and software, operating systems, and networking.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methods, service architecture, and enterprise cloud integration.
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- SaaS application implementation experience with solutions such as Oracle E-Business Suite, NetSuite, Infor, Unit 4, PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, or Lawson.
- Experience with application modernization tools such as CAST.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps processes.
- Experience quantifying risks and developing mitigation and remediation strategies.
