Structured Investments Distribution Engineer - Assistant Vice President (Scala)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; hybrid schedule with office work Monday–Thursday and remote work available on Friday.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 base salary, plus equity and an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design and build high-performance APIs and applications for the hirify.global platform.
• Build cloud-native services in Scala using open-source frameworks such as Akka and ZIO.
• Develop unit and integration tests with ScalaTest and ZIO Test.
• Collaborate with Product Management to detail requirements, review work in progress, and resolve testing issues.
• Participate in stand-up meetings, peer code reviews, and standard software development and change management processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of web-based application development experience.
• Experience with Scala, Node.js, or Java.
• Understanding of relational or NoSQL database concepts and modeling practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, independent working, and collaboration skills.
