Staff Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Technically lead one or more engineering teams through needs assessment, system design, implementation, and operations automation.
• Drive the technical roadmap while balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainability.
• Design and build secure, scalable, reliable web-scale systems for detecting, remediating, and preventing accessibility issues.
• Use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows to design, build, test, and operate software, while reviewing and validating the output.
• Partner with Product, Design, UX, and engineering teams to turn customer and end-user needs into measurable value.
• Mentor engineers and help establish standards for responsible AI use across code review, testing, security, and data handling.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and operating critical systems.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Node.
• Experience with relational databases, NoSQL systems, and document/object storage.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems in distributed systems and real-time data technologies.
• Experience building and operating secure, compliant, scalable systems and leading large projects across multiple teams.
• Hands-on fluency with AI-assisted and agentic development, including validating generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.
