Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Copenhagen or London, or remote within European time zones

hirify.global is an AI-native HR-tech scaleup building a workforce platform for frontline employees and employers in hospitality and retail.

What you will do

• Build and scale critical parts of the hirify.global product.
• Develop features across the full application stack, including manager and employee-facing interfaces, backend services, and data layers.
• Use AI tools as a core part of daily development and help improve AI-assisted engineering practices across the team.
• Read and write code, review architecture, and work directly with infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product teams on integrations, shared standards, and architectural decisions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Professional experience with React, React Native, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Ability to design highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable distributed systems.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in software development.
• Startup or scale-up experience and a pragmatic, ownership-oriented approach.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, and availability within European time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience with NestJS.
• Experience with MongoDB.
