Trucking Procurement Manager (Drayage)

Location: Onsite in Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; or Dallas, Texas, United States

Base salary: $74,500–$93,000 USD annually, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Source, vet, onboard, and maintain a high-quality drayage carrier network across East Coast markets.
• Negotiate carrier rates and contracts, manage annual and off-cycle RFPs, and maintain pricing structures and accessorial tariffs.
• Provide market expertise through market updates, internal enablement sessions, and analysis of North American drayage trends.
• Partner with Sales and Demand teams on client solutions, margin strategies, and growth initiatives across North America.
• Own market allocation strategies and ensure accurate inputs in the Allocation Tool to optimize cost and service performance.
• Support P&L planning, invoicing, audits, dispute resolution, carrier performance, and procurement technology improvements.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree and 5–7+ years of experience in trucking, freight forwarding, or a related supply chain role, focused on Ocean or Drayage.
• Experience in carrier-facing or partner-facing procurement and management roles.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
• Deep knowledge of the North American drayage market and industry trends.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
