Senior Program Manager (Aerospace, Defense and Space)

What you will do

• Lead aerospace, defense, and space programs from contract award through development, qualification, production, sustainment, and final delivery.
• Own cost, schedule, technical performance, contractual commitments, customer satisfaction, and overall program objectives.
• Develop integrated program plans, schedules, forecasts, execution strategies, and recovery plans using Microsoft Project.
• Monitor performance, conduct earned value and cost and schedule variance analyses, and drive corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary customer interface, manage expectations and contract changes, and support proposals and strategic growth.
• Lead matrixed teams across engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, quality, contracts, finance, and business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of engineering experience in aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, optoelectronics, or related technical industries.
• At least 7 years of program or project management experience with technically complex programs.
• Experience with earned value cost accounting, progress metrics, productivity reporting, and variance analysis.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project, integrated schedule management, customer communication, and stakeholder influence in a matrix organization.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• PMP certification.
• Experience with aerospace, defense, military, space, high-reliability electronics, NPI, qualification, or production programs.
• Familiarity with government contracts, military specifications, aerospace standards, customer-specific quality requirements, and optoelectronic or microelectronic assembly products.
