Principal Program Manager (TS/SCI)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; U.S. office position

Base salary: $163,500–$245,250 USD annually. Total compensation including equity: $213,225–$324,800 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead multiple mission-platform programs from blank-sheet concepts through prototype development, qualification, responsive production, and flight.
• Own technical roadmaps, major programmatic decisions, program budgets, forecasts, revenue, and margin performance on a firm-fixed-price basis.
• Partner with chief engineers on architecture and trade-off decisions involving guidance and control, onboard autonomy, propulsion, and integrated hardware/software systems.
• Coordinate hardware, software, GNC, mission assurance, suppliers, and subcontractors while removing technical, schedule, and manufacturing risks.
• Build and develop multidisciplinary program teams and future program and team leaders.
• Serve as the primary contact for U.S. Government national security customers and support proposals, capture efforts, and technical narratives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, mathematics, science, engineering, or another technical discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in the aerospace or space industry and 8+ years of technical program management experience.
• Depth in at least one area: prototype-to-flight transition, EO/IR and optical payloads, production engineering, manufacturing risk reduction, or advanced sensing and communications.
• Experience identifying and mitigating technical, schedule, supply-chain, tooling, yield, or production risks before they affect the mission.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• U.S. office roles are subject to ITAR eligibility and require U.S. citizenship, lawful U.S. permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or the ability to obtain required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience transitioning low-volume prototypes into responsive production while maintaining mission reliability.
• Deep experience with National Security Space and time-critical mission sets.
• Experience negotiating, capturing, and executing large U.S. Government contracts.
• Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Fluency in systems engineering, trade studies, interface control, requirements integrity, Jira, Confluence, and ERP tools.
