Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Raritan, New Jersey, United States of America; additional listed location: Durham, North Carolina, United States of America. On-site Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with on-call rotation and overtime as required.

Pay: $23.00–$30.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Inspect buildings, equipment, and facility systems to identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain and repair MEP systems, including plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and general building repairs such as painting, spackling, carpentry, and ceiling repairs.
• Conduct equipment rounds, maintain facility cleanliness, and organize the workspace.
• Track maintenance work in CMMS and spreadsheets and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff and external contractors, order parts, and assist with snow removal when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems and basic computer data entry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position and maintain required certifications.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Black Seal Boiler License.
• CFR 40 Certification.
